I have accepted the position of Senior Manager, Venue Security at the LA28 Summer Olympic Games. I will play a pivotal, early role, as a key member of a small, professional and unique Safety and Security Team. The Senior Manager, Venue Security, works collaboratively with a broad team of stakeholders on the design and security operating plans for a group of Olympic Venues. The Senior Manager will ensure that all designs and plans are integrated into the overall Games Security Plans and Games Operational Plans. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can work collaboratively with multiple functional areas (departments,) government and public safety agencies, and a unique set of stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of security and operational efficiency during the Games. I am a WGA writer and have written on two network (CBS) crime procedurals and one streaming (HBO Max) crime serialized show. An episode of Criminal Minds I wrote aired on CBS on 1/29/20. I retired from the FBI on July 31, 2014 ending a 27 year career as an FBI Special Agent that spanned from fighting the war on drugs in the mid 1980s on the streets of Brooklyn to fighting the war on terror during the mid in Baghdad and beyond. In August, 2014 I moved to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with my wife and two German Shepherd puppies. My wife, Christy Nicolay, has assumed the position of Executive Producer for Sport Presentation at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic Games. I have assumed the position of dog walker along the beaches of Rio for my two German Shepherd puppies, one of whom we rescued from the 2014 Sochi, Russia Olympics and Putin\'s Canine Death Squads. A career federal law enforcement professional with over 27 years of experience. Varied career profile includes complex criminal investigations, international deployments and underwater forensic training. A proven effective team leader who has led teams with missions around the globe including Iraq in 2005 and 2006. Certified Police Instructor and FBI Adjunct Professor Program. Helped establish and develop the FBI\'s underwater forensic program from its inception to its current state and developed the FBI\'s underwater forensic training program.
