I started my career in personal lines as an underwriting assistant in the General Accident Insurance Company. I eventually was given the opportunity to underwrite, and was introduced to underwriting BOP business along with the supporting small commercial lines as well as personal lines. Around 1998, Commercial Union and General Accident merged to form CGU. It was later sold to form a new company, OneBeacon. It was during that time I started to underwrite commercial business. Near the end of a regional company stepped in to buy the PA operation of OneBeacon, that company was Peerless Insurance.(owned by Liberty Mutual) Since then, the regional agency markets group purchased the Ohio Casualty Group and Safeco Insurance. Once again, I transitioned to a new organization by the name of Ohio Casualty Insurance which eventually took on the Liberty Mutual name. In 2013, I joined the Great American Insurance Group in their Specialty Human Services Division. Headquartered in Chicago IL, I worked from my home to provide insurance products designed for non profit/human service organizations. In May of 2017, I took that experience gained at Great American to join a great team at GuideOne Insurance where I now focus my time on underwriting Non Profit entities in the MO, NY and New England area.Outside of Insurance, I enjoy playing in our church bell choir, hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
