ABOUT BENJAMIN LEE

As a Dartmouth College graduate with a BA in Economics, I have a strong foundation in data analysis and policy development. I currently lead a team of 50+ medical scribes at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, the largest academic medical center in the US, where I manage the hiring, training, scheduling, and quality assurance of the scribe program across two emergency departments, urgent care, and telemedicine. I am proficient in electronic medical record, healthcare administration, and business management software, such as Epic, Workday, Humanity, and ShiftAdmin.In addition to my leadership and management role, I collaborate with a comprehensive medical team, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, EMS, social workers, and care coordinators, to deliver high-quality patient care and documentation. I have also contributed to several research projects at Harvard University using big data to study economic mobility, social policy, and the price impacts of healthcare vertical integration, the findings of which have been presented to federal antitrust agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Justice. I am passionate about using data to inform and improve healthcare outcomes, access, and equity. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have lived and studied in different countries and cultures, such as Spain, where I completed a language study abroad program at the Universitat de Barcelona, and Anaheim, where I participated in a two-year Christian service training program.
