ABOUT ALEX WAGNER

I am currently the Senior Finance Manager in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to) monitoring, analyzing, and communicating the Department\'s financial performance. Key initiatives include leading the annual budget, collaborating with other key stakeholders - such as those at our community practice sites, and overseeing the department\'s financials. Prior to my current role, I served as the Ambulatory Care Finance Manager at Michigan Medicine. Main tasks of the Ambulatory Care Finance team include (but are not limited to) working with segment leaders to oversee financial operations, support the development and management of segment budgets, and lead initiatives to enhance efficiencies of financial processes. Prior to my role as the Ambulatory Care Finance Manager, I worked as a Financial Analyst on the Medical School Finance Team at Michigan Medicine. My main day to day tasks include navigating through various monthly financial reports as well as any ad hoc projects or reports. Before Michigan Medicine, I had a short stint as a Financial Analyst in the automotive industry at Auria Solutions. This position provided me with an opportunity to apply my accounting skillset in day to day cash application. During my time with Auria Solutions, I was able to provide a helping hand in the implementation of a new financial system which allowed me to gain tremendous knowledge in this facet. Prior to my work experience, I studied at the University of Toledo majoring in Finance and minoring in Marketing and Supply Chain. I was a left handed pitcher for the Toledo Rockets and enjoyed volunteering with the Children\'s Miracle League. During my endeavors with Toledo, I interned with Dana Incorporated as an Internal Audit Intern. I enjoy making new professional connections.
