In this role, I develop and coordinate bilingual communication and marketing initiatives, ensuring residents are well informed and engaged regarding Aldermanic activities, city and ward-specific events, community updates, and local business spotlights. My responsibilities include creating, editing, and translating English and Spanish content for social media, newsletters, and outreach, which has also included hosting and producing English and Spanish-language episodes of “Aurora Eats” to showcase local businesses and promote cultural engagement.I serve as a city ambassador at various community events such as National Night Out, Film Fest, Fiestas Patrias, Restaurant Week, and the Food Truck Festival. At these events, I foster positive relationships, promote city initiatives, and strengthen engagement with Aurora’s diverse residents. I collect bilingual community feedback through post-event debriefs, constituent conversations, and social media analysis, collaborating with the team to enhance outreach and improve communication strategies.Additionally, I assist and represent the City of Aurora at community programs, festivals, and events, including evenings and weekends, serving as a city ambassador to build relationships with residents, local businesses, and potential community partners.
