We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Representative to join our growing team. This role is essential in ensuring that the parts, equipment, and services we need are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and with the highest standards of quality.Key Responsibilities • Source, evaluate, and purchase parts, components, and services for fire apparatus repair, refurbishment, and sales. • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and timely fulfillment. • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with service and sales departments to meet operational needs. • Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies. • Track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and handle returns or warranty claims when necessary. • Assist in vendor performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications • Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain preferred (automotive or heavy equipment industry a plus). • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail. • Ability to analyze pricing, terms, and vendor performance to make data-driven decisions. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP/CRM systems. • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to supporting the mission of first responders.
