I have a passion for people. Throughout my life I have cultivated this passion in a variety of ways. As a server during college, I waited on customers and strived to provide the finest dining experience one could expect from a midgrade Italian restaurant chain. As a health unit assistant, I supported doctors and nurses while providing care for patients in a hospital setting. As an elementary school teacher, I educated students on topics like Alabama History, Economics, and my personal favorite: how to cook s’mores with a solar oven made from a pizza box. On top of having a passion for people, I also have a level of curiosity that would have killed 10 cats by now. My husband calls it “being nosy,” but I call it being a lifelong learner. If there’s a subject that interests me, you better bet I will learn everything there is to know about it and will share all the juicy details with anyone who will listen. My curiosity, along with my passion for people, has inspired my current career path. As a part of the genWHY Communications team, I am working to educate and inform businesses on generational diversity and its impact on the workplace. My focus right now is research, digital marketing, and content creation.
