ABOUT BILL LOCKWOOD

I am a seasoned regional sales rep and sales manager specializing in dynamic and creative solutions in a rapidly changing market. I have a consistent and strong record of over-driving quotas, earning the unflinching loyalty of sales teams and retailers, developing new business, and strengthening customer relationships with advanced knowledge of innovative retailing solutions. I have worked as the principal sales representative for iconic brands in the sporting goods, outdoor, and ski industries since 1995. Most recently, I have been the New England Territory Manager for American Recreation Products, a conglomeration of multi-price tiered brands. In addition to solidifying relationships with key accounts such as LL Bean and EMS, this opportunity has enabled me to develop proficiency in various key distribution channels, including ECOM, mass merchant, closeout, and premium and incentive business. I have also been instrumental in charting the course of the Eastern Outdoor Reps Association (EORA), serving first as a member of the Board of Directors, then VP of the Mid-Atlantic territory, and ultimately President in 2009-10. After getting married and relocating to the U.S. in 2001, I worked as the National Sales Manager for a boutique outdoor clothing brand, managing a sales staff of eight with $10 million in sales, growing in the final year by 30%, and solidifying SMU business for major retailers such as Cabela’s. Between 2003 and 2012, I worked as both a partner and long-term senior representative for Ferrand Associates, a premium product-centered sales agency known for pioneering innovative brands such as Mountain Hardwear, RAB, Horny Toad, Point 6, and Timbuk2. As a “numbers guy” with an analytical background in physics, my strength is in accurate forecasting, finding product opportunities and working with key accounts to bring those opportunities to fruition, and providing sales representatives with the tools they need to do the same.
