Reporting to the CFO/VP Finance, directly responsible for majority of corporate spend and the strategic direction of the Procurement function. Lead negotiator for the company and senior member of the Supply Chain Group.Accomplishments:• Project Manager - Lead all commercial aspects of a new brewery project including the selection of architects, construction manager, engineering services, brewing/packaging equipment, and support systems. The scope included the negotiation of a complicated land lease. The project was delivered on schedule and on budget. • Negotiation Trainer - Developed a course on negotiation and have presented to 90% of staff including Executives. Guest speaker at UNB Executive MBA course on Negotiations. • Commodity Hedging - Lead the corporate hedging program and strategic management of several commodities.• Lead Negotiator, Strategist - Introduced a risk management process that includes the negotiation and implementation of several long-term supply agreements, saving the company millions of dollars.• Cost Control – Provided information and recommendations for the annual standard costing and budgeting processes, and responsible for variances from standard costs.• Capital Projects – Responsible for all commercial aspects of capital spend including the sourcing and negotiation of goods and services, processes, and maintaining the overall budget and schedule.• Logistics – Responsible for the logistics of all inbound materials including transportation and warehousing. • Continuous Improvement – Participated in several projects that utilized Lean Sigma and Project Management tools to improve processes and reduce costs. • Strategic Planning - Developed a strategic plan for Procurement including the vison, objectives aligned to corporate, and the Procurement Principles that define our values.• Balanced Scorecard – Developed performance metrics in several areas, linked directly to business objectives.
