Director, Embrace Health Startup Telehealth Clinic @Psychiatric Medical Care
A division of Psychiatric Medical Care, Embrace Health provides telehealth psychiatry, group, and individual therapy services to vulnerable adults and families in Iowa and Wisconsin-and soon expanding to other states. Our goal is to fill in the gaps of care, giving patients timely access, and quality services by extraordinary providers and clinic staff. We partner with payors, physician practices, hospitals, community organizations, and our internal teams to make this happen. Initially, in the Director role, I worked with our senior leadership at both Psychiatric Medical Care and Integrated Telehealth Partners to direct the startup clinic, resulting insignificant growth-even after PHE and more stringent telehealth regulations. With clinic staff, the clinic has grown from 41 to over patients in two years with over 70% having Medicaid or Medicare.Startups require frequent shifts in strategies powered by data and opportunities. To accomplish this, we developed a robust data analysis reporting tool comparing referral, patient and salary wages and benefits that provides meaningful and actionable reporting. In addition, we are responsible to ensure compliance, and following state and national regulations. Additional responsibilities include setting up our initial technologies including our automated patient engagement system, proprietary phone app, Embrace Health phone app, EHR, and working with the Marketing team on the patient-facing booking pages, website, collateral and digital media. Also, I help develop budgets and proformas, work with Finance, Business Development, HR/Talent Acquisition teams, and manage the clinic and licensed staff, To reach profitability, initiated coding and reimbursement strategies and developed a clinic culture of kindness and accountability among providers and staff.

ABOUT BETSY DOOLEY
Background: A native of Memphis, I graduated from Vanderbilt University and followed my three big brothers to Dallas, Texas-eventually landing in Los Angeles. I worked in Client Services in advertising agencies, conducting employment, consumer marketing, and advertising campaigns in commercial real estate, technology, telecommunications, and healthcare industries. Moving back to Nashville allowed me to be closer to the family and focus on a healthcare career. Coming from an entrepreneurial family, I found that I thrive on helping healthcare companies grow, establish processes and begin new programs. In my career, I have proceeded to work for five organizations/projects in start-up and high-growth phases-including our parent company, Psychiatric Medical Care. Now I have the opportunity to direct our new direct-to-patient virtual telehealth clinic, Embrace Health (embracehealth.com). Our team helps patients receive timely psychiatric care and therapy. Embrace Health, like its parent company, commits to a culture of kindness and accountability and works hard to maintain quality, compliance, helping patients get the care they need-when they need it the most.
