I lead a team of seven full-time professional staff and collaborate with office leaders and project managers for a wide range of qualifications/proposal packages and targeted marketing efforts. Our work includes- Proposals and Qualifications Packages - Proposals for open-end and task-focused contracts- Library development/maintenance for project descriptions, differentiators, and processes; staff resumes, certifications; project approaches; and contract experiences- Document management- Opportunity evaluations for federal, state, local, and private procurement- Pre-positioning support- Management support for resulting contracts- Data collection and analysis for marketing and proposal efforts- Proposal and marketing strategy development in collaboration with office leaders and key staff- CRM management and maintenance- Proposal process management and template curation for task proposals developed by technical staff- Weekly proposal meetings to address business development across service lines and offices- Website management- Marketing collateral (from brochures and qualifications packages to ads and beyond)- WSSI’s 33 year old widely-read Field Notes newsletter to address policy and regulation developments- Presentations for interviews and business development efforts- Webinar development and management- Photography and videography for projects and service lines to support marketing collateral and qualifications packages- Company social media presence- Facilitating company sponsorships and appearances at conferences and industry and stakeholder meetings- Design, maintenance, and logistics for all conference materials (banners, promotional items, and printed materials) to ensure effective presence- Development/maintenance of company intranet- Special tasks, including graphic design and content for public signage.

My perspective on environmental consulting has been shaped by my experiences as a regulator, an ecologist, a policy analyst, and an educator, in addition to my years of consulting for local, state, and federal government agencies and private land developers. I was appointed to the Citizen Advisory Group advising the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality on Virginia Water Protection Permit Program regulations in 20••••15.
