I\'m an English/Spanish Associate Translator (ATIA) and a Community Interpreter (CISOC) with extensive training and work experience in corporate communications, PR, marketing, advertising and journalism. Throughout my career, I have provided a variety of communications services both in Canada and Venezuela in the oil and gas sector, career and immigrant services, mainstream media, publishing and consulting. I’ve worked on award-winning advertising campaigns and handled crisis and strategic sensitive communications such as company mergers/takeovers.My background in communications, knowledge of the energy sector and passion for the English and Spanish languages have become the key foundations of Apricus Comms & Translations, a company that provides translation and interpretation services with a focus on accuracy, cultural competency and client satisfaction. Beyond my core expertise in communications, marketing and advertising translation, I also have translation specialties in official and public outreach communications and in the technical (energy/oil and gas), legal and healthcare/medical industries.I have obtained the CILISAT Language (Spanish-English) Certification and the Community Interpretation Protocols and Procedures Certification, both awarded by Cultural Interpretation Services for Our Communities (CISOC). I can provide consecutive interpretation—both on-site and remotely—in a variety of settings, such as family court hearings, healthcare-related appointments, parent/teachers interviews, immigration consultations and business meetings. I also have a Certificate in Translation (English-Spanish) from the University of Toronto.I possess strong abilities in writing, editing and proofreading in English and Spanish, as well as the expertise required for translation projects that require adaptation and transcreation approaches. I also hold an Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) designation by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
