ABOUT BERND HACKMANN
A lifetime of passion and more than 15 years of professional experience in addressing climate change, sustainable development and international relations. I am a climate change mitigation policy and transparency professional at the United Nations with a broad professional network and more than 10 years of high-level experience in advising governments, international organizations, think-tanks, businesses and the private sector on decarbonization, climate policies and climate transparency. Currently, I develop capacity building programs and work directly with governments, mainly in developing countries, to jointly advance the implementation of the Paris Agreement, the preparation and implementation of national climate plan (NDCs), long-term decarbonization plans (LTLEDS) and of climate transparency arrangement and reports (MRV/ETF). I have proven expertise on international climate negotiations, international relations, national climate plans, NDCs, long-term decarbonization pathways, climate transparency, ETF, policy advise and analysis, capacity building and training activities.
