I teach high school and middle schools students Chinese and French. I plan curriculum and teach at two different schools. I am one of the lead curriculum developers for Chinese 4. I teach two International Baccalaureate classes. I teach students critical thinking skills, good note-taking skills, public-speaking skills, how to manipulate the text, how to write formal letters, emails, and academic and persuasive essays. I incorporate AVID skills into my teaching. I align the curriculum with a practical communication-based approach as espoused by ACTFL. I communicate with parents. I coordinate the National Chinese Honor Society and the Chinese Club. I plan field trips. I bring in guest-speakers. I write letters of college recommendation.
