Primary responsibilities are in communications, public relations, branding, and website management in an effort to promote a positive public image among EWSD’s various audiences (students/families, community members, board members, alumni, etc.).• Works to support the District’s vision, image, and reputation by investing in building trust and maintaining goodwill. • Provides professional public relations counsel and assistance to the administration, school board, schools, parent groups, and student groups.• Acts as the District\'s webmaster, managing 11 different websites. Led the transition to a new website provider in 2023. • Supervises the work of the Communications Assistant.• Collaborates with others in the organization to achieve brand consistency, coordination of messaging, and the highest standards for internal and external communications.• Oversees the District’s print and electronic communications.• Develops, designs, and implements social media strategies and programs to enhance and extend community engagement efforts; develops content for multiple media platforms (@essexwestford).• Supports effective and open communication between all school constituencies with proactive engagement.• Manages and is the point of contact for the mass notification system for the District, alerting and updating families and staff of school or District-wide circumstances and emergencies. • In coordination with administration, plans, publicizes, and implements District community engagement programs and events.
