ABOUT BEN NORWOOD
I joined the CAPTRUST team in 2021 from Nachman Norwood & Parrott—a wealth management consultancy firm that I helped found in 1997. At NNP, I collaborated to build a firm that grew to became one of the largest registered investment advisories in South Carolina. At CAPTRUST, I specialize in wealth management consultancy for individuals and families, qualified retirement plan sponsors, and nonprofits. I focus on seeing the big picture of any client’s financial goals and then easily translating it into a path for reaching them. I began my career as a bank examiner for the South Carolina Board of Financial Institutions, and I have been in the industry since 1987. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of South Carolina. Outside of work, I dedicate my free time to serving my community. I am currently a board member of the Peace Center, the Community Foundation of Greenville, as well as chair of the investment committee for the Montreat Conference Center. I also love to read, travel, hike, ski, and play golf.
