ABOUT BECKY EMBER

At Coxlease School, we have a specialist unit of trained SEN teachers/support staff who work with students whose placements are at risk. This could be due to social, emotional and behavioural issues so they need extra help to access education. I work with SEND officers at LA’s, social workers, parents and students to tailor make a curriculum and therapy package to give students the best possible chance in receiving an education to enable them to go forward in their future education/career pathway. For some students, accessing education and attending school is simply not possible due to a variety of reasons. Working together with all parties, I put together a completely bespoke, student specific, curriculum to give our outreach students the best possible opportunities to achieve their potential. I work with local colleges, alternative provisions and specialist individuals to make placements a positive, successful experience. As one of the founding members of the team, I am incredibly proud of how successful our Outreach Provision is and the difference we make to our students.
