ABOUT BECCA GRIMES FRANCIS
Becca is an ambitious student currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in ruminant nutrition at South Dakota State University. Becca completed her B.S. and M.S. in animal science and meat science at West Texas A&M University where in addition to her graduate work, she also served as the student office manager for the Beef Carcass Research Center. She has had experience in raw carcass data collection consisting of, but not limited to liver scoring and marbling scoring of beef carcasses. Becca has also had relevant experience with feedlot and carcass data management, organization, and interpretation through her internship with Feedlot Health Management Services in 2019 and Five Rivers Cattle Feeding in 2022. Upon completion of her Ph.D, she plans to pursue a career in research and nutrition consulting in the commercial feedlot industry.
