ABOUT BARRY HOBIN
Barry Hobin is the founding partner of Hobin Architecture (formerly Barry J. Hobin and Associates Architects Inc.). The firm, comprised of 35 professionals, has developed a noteworthy stature over its 35 year history. The firm has received numerous local, provincial and national design awards. Mr. Hobin has demonstrated the value of cost sensitive design and is recognized for his contribution to the Ottawa architectural landscape. Mr. Hobin has been a strong advocate for architecture. He has been the president of the Royal Architectural institute of Canada. He has also served as Chairman of the Committee of Adjustments for the City of Ottawa, Design Committee Chair for the City of Kanata Town Centre, Site Selection Director for Habitat for Humanity and member of the Board of Governors for Carleton University. Mr. Hobin developed the TV series “Homes By Design” with Sound Venture productions to showcase residential projects in Canada and internationally.
