ABOUT BARRY BLACK

Slap some bacon on a biscuit and let’s go! We’re burning daylight.” – The Cowboys 1972 With anything I do, I am excited by the opportunity to succeed and to assist those attempting to figure a solution to a problem or build their next mousetrap to succeed. The satisfaction I obtain from seeing their success to solving or getting a project moving is simply great. I was raised on the mantra ‘What can I do to help?’; my earliest memories are being taught to learn what the problem is, make sure you understand the problem, brainstorm about how to best solve that problem with the combined skillset of you and others, develop the plan for executing the solution, and then execute it. Also to keep in mind the plan is flexible and to make adjustments such that improvement to it are achieved where possible. Through the course of my career I’ve been a laborer, foreman, superintendent, project manager, engineer, and project executive. I’ve had the opportunity to build my designs and to learn firsthand the shortcomings that they contained. My skillset is such that I can see a project from varying points of view, and I use those attributes to the advantage of any project I participate in; no matter how big or small. From concept to reality, I can help to achieve the most efficient path toward the end goal; the more complicated, the better. That path considers safety, quality, and the development of the team to get there; particularly when mentoring junior staff. I always strive for perfection and evaluate the circumstances for falling short to the benefit of all interested parties.
