ABOUT BARNEY BENKELMAN

My organization\'s talented staff can help minimize the struggles a business goes through with software upgrades and changes by providing a shoe-horn fit. Whether we build a custom solution or help integrate, we have the education and experience to help achieve the best long-term result for our clients. During a 32 year career, the majority as a Technology manager, I recognized and experienced recurring “challenges”. Many of these challenges continue to exist today-My organization was hampered by automation needs unable to be addressed (lack of resources or funding)-Customers were frustrated by systems not focused toward their use, resulting in complaints and lost revenues -Technology costs were continually increasing, and systems needed upgrade or replacement all too often-Technology changed rapidly and in-house knowledge fell behind (decision makers and IT staff), due to resource loss and an inability to keep up via training (lack of interest or allowable time)-There was a continuous struggle to retain experienced technology staff due to salaries or workload Early on, technology was new and mysterious, and authorizing the spending of money to “give it a try” was difficult at best for decision makers. However, by this point in time, technology has proven that it can provide tremendous benefits. Wise technology focused expenditures therefore are of utmost importance. Poorly planned solutions are often thrown-away with the business arm forced to start over again. Poor choices in partnerships; Decision makers still not knowing needs or having a good grasp on the tools that exist; Internal users that don’t fully embrace and commit to solutions, all can result in money “bleeding” over time and/or systems being dumped. My goal, and that of my organization, is to help our clients make the very most of their technology expenditures to maximize the value received by platforms and solutions, long-term. Reach out today to position your organization for technological viability for the future!
