ABOUT BARBARA BERTOLASO
The work of my father gave me the incredible opportunity to live in 3 different continents (US, Europe, Middle East), to move more than 15 times and to study in 7 different schools before I started university in Rome. I developed a genuine dynamic mindset and a very flexible approach, changes have never frightened me, on the contrary, I\'ve always seen them as a learning and growth opportunity. In 2007, I started my professional career in Accenture (Management Consulting Division) where I performed for 8 years, working on change management HR projects for more than 6 international clients belonging to 5 different industries (pharmaceutical, automotive, banking, tobacco, energy). Every time I changed supervisor, team, city and challenged myself with new tasks and responsibilities. In 2015, I joined the humanitarian sector working for the United Nations - World Food Programme as Leadership Development Manager and became in 2017 HR Training & Development Lead of the Global Supply Chain Division. I traveled in almost all the Regional Bureaus (Egypt, Thailand, South Africa, and Kenya), met people from all around the world, and led multicultural teams with employees coming from more than 10 different countries and all continents. It was not surprising to me that in my SHL personality test: Self and Emotional Awareness, Adaptability, Empathy, Leadership and Change Catalyst resulted in the highest score.Change is part of our lives and it\'s the most incredible opportunity we have to challenge ourselves, learn, grow, and improve. This attitude is what differentiates people. In 2018, I decided to attend a one-year Professional Coaching Master accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) to become Coach and support the people I work with in unlocking their potential to maximize their performance.I strongly believe that people perform their best when they are trusted and made accountable, I strongly believe in the benefits of an inspiring and courageous leadership, in the power of team collaboration and cooperation, in unlocking people\'s potential as a driver to change and value. What do others say about me? I am a People Developer, a genuine and empathetic leader, always empowering and challenging my team with new opportunities in line with their personal and professional development. I try to balance being task and people-focused ensuring results are achieved through clear guidance and team cooperation. My favorite book: Mindset by Carol DweckMy favorite quote: Be the change that you would like to see in the world - Mahatma Gandhi
