This role is mainly focussed on the Geological Disposal Facility Programme (GDF). It is to support the GDF PMO and all associated processes; to consolidate, analyse and report on performance across the programme. It operates in liaison and interaction with all areas of the Programme Directorate, key stakeholders and where necessary, other NWS teams. Nuclear Waste Services specialises in managing, treating, and safely disposing of the UK’s radioactive waste. We ensure the waste is managed in a way that protects people and the environment, now and in the future. Nuclear Waste Services is a division of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority which includes Radioactive Waste Management Limited and LLW Repository Limited. Nuclear Waste Services is not a legal entity but provides strategic oversight over the operation and development of these businesses through a management board governance structure.
