ABOUT BAILEY SINGER
In my first year of university I slipped on the ice and broke my jaw. In order for the break to heal, my jaw had to be wired shut from December until March. I lost the ability to talk, eat, and truly be myself. Until then, I had always thought going out to eat was just about the food. My injury showed me that there are many facets to the dining experience. I realized that people do not go out simply to eat, but rather to be taken care of, create memories, and have genuine experiences. This lesson is what drives me to provide great hospitality for guests and why I hope to inspire my peers to do the same.I aim to take advantage of any networking opportunities and attend events such as wine tastings, educational seminars, and trade shows with the goal of fostering relationships with like-minded individuals. By building relationships with senior professionals in the industry, I am able to expose myself to varying career paths and receive exceptional guidance. In bonding with others just beginning their careers I am able to create a support system and find individuals who I can learn and grow alongside.It is no secret that right now is a time of transformation within the restaurant industry, and as an emerging professional I can be on the forefront of instigating change.
