ABOUT BABAK SAMANGOUEI

I am a Senior Planner at Arup with over ten years\' experience in transport and development planning. I provide advice at all stages of the planning process from feasibility and scoping, through to implementation.My key skills are:• Management of over 100 small to large projects at all stages of the planning application process. • Preparation of Transport Statements and Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, Travel Plans, Construction Management Plans, Delivery and Servicing Plans, Car Park Management Plans and other technical reports in support of planning applications. • Design development including provision of car and cycle parking, access arrangements, delivery and servicing and waste collection arrangements as well as inclusive infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists.• Junction capacity assessment using LinSig, TRANSYT, ARCADY and PICADY. • Liaising with council transport and planning officers, TfL, local highways authorities and other stakeholders involved in the design and planning application process. • Understanding of key national, regional and local policies relating to transport and development planning. • Multi-modal trip generation assessments and analysis. • Vehicle lift assessment and advising on layout and location. • Commissioning of transport surveys and interpretation of results. • Critique of Transport Assessments, Statements and other technical reports. • Attendance of numerous public exhibitions, public workshops and consultations.Other information- Member of Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation- First University degree from UCL in Civil Engineering (MEng), London, UK- Postgraduate degree in Transport Planning and Engineering (MSc) from Southampton University, UK- Native speaker of English and Farsi (Persian)- Founder and manager of Babak Saman Photography (Babaksaman.co.uk)- Live in London, England
