Azia played a pivotal role in the network’s news and business coverage, presenting live daily coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 presidential election, and other major news events around the world. Witnessing inequities and a lack of representation for Asian Americans early in her career, Azia strives to champion stories for diverse, underrepresented audiences. She established partnerships with Gold House, Netflix, and publicity firms to bring Asian and Pacific Islander (API)-focused entertainment coverage to Cheddar’s audience. As the creator of TikTok & IGTV series, Keep It Short with Azia, she broke down the biggest news stories in 15-second explainers.
