Negotiating and coordinating spot rates and/or quotations for SEA shipments and all services within our client’s database. • Understanding clients’ needs to strategy the costing and our pricing.• Displaying a thorough understanding of industry-related terminology and processes.• Strategising ways of increasing profits margins, while keeping costs at a minimum.• Coordinating with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Finance, as well as vendors to source pricing and freight information.• Aligning with the sales team to source prices, assist with quotations and respond to opportunities by sourcing pricing and providing deal coordination support.• Maintaining strong relationships with vendors (Shipping Line, international agents, trucking companies, other logistics companies) to obtain updated pricing and freight info.• Coordinating and problem solving with carriers, forwarding companies, and other entities to ensure successful deliveries of customer cargo.• Actively participating, advising and help make decisions in selection of carriers.• Maintaining SharePoint documents linked to proper location (rates, cost changes, forwarders reports, general info).• Ensuring that all information being conveyed by the customer to the internal teams is accurate – delivery addresses, pricing, cross, references, packing, special instructions etc.• Assisting the sales team with business development and securing new business initiatives.• Following and implementing compliance and procedures.• Keeping abreast with the freight worldwide market and provide the information to all parties.• Communicating with management on desk performance and any issues that arise also following up of quotations as needed and communicate the positive or negative feedback in respect of being able to source the competitive rate to support the closure of all business opportunities.
