ABOUT AXEL RENNOCH
Axel Rennoch is computer scientist and project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) in Berlin. Since 1983 he is involved/responsible for validation and testing projects on next generation networks and software technologies. He has wide experiences with the development/validation of industrial test solutions using advanced testing techniques in telecom, IoT and automotive projects, e.g. for ATM, B-ISDN, PNNI, VoIP/Sigtran, CCM, MOST, SIP+SDP, IMS, SIP/ISUP, SIP/ISDN, IoT/Edge computing, oneM2M service layer.Axel studied computer science at TU Berlin, mathematics and biology at FU Berlin. He has been working in the field of Formal Methods, Testing Methodologies and Quality of Service considerations in scientific and industrial projects. His experiences address the application of Formal Description Techniques (e.g. LOTOS/ACTONE, SDL/MSC, UML), protocol testing (using e.g. ADL/TDD, TTCN-2, TTCN-3), software testing (e.g. of CORBA systems), project management/reporting. During this work he contributed to several national/international standardization groups (e.g. DIN/DKE, ISO/IEC, ATM-Forum, OMG, ETSI, oneM2M) and published research papers/reports continuously.
