This International Joint Task Force between the Mobile Standard Group and EMC /Radio Spectrum Matters Technical Committee is responsible for developing European Norms (ENs) intended to become Harmonised Standards under the RED Directive(2014/53/EU), for members of the IMT family, IMT-Advanced: LTE-Advanced, IMT-2020: 5G NR. In the case where the Chair is unavailable or, in any case requested, a Vice-Chair shall stand in as interim Chair of the Technical Group until the issue can be solved.

ABOUT GUILLERMO CARLOS VIETTI

In the previous role as Senior Standardization Expert at G+D Mobile Security, Guillermo was leading the development and implementation of global standards for mobile security technologies.Before joining G+D Mobile Security, Guillermo was a Technical Officer at ETSI, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, where he led and supported the development and updating of harmonized standards for radio devices and wireless communications. He has a Ph.D. in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, and over 15 years of experience in the field.Guillermo started his career as a researcher and teacher at various universities and institutes, focusing on designing and realizing compact antennas, microstrip structures, and electromagnetic wave propagation. He then joined Pirelli\'s R&D Department, where he played a key role in developing the Cyber Tyre. This innovative product platform integrates miniaturized sensors into tyre structures to enhance driving and safety conditions. He excelled as a project and technical account manager, establishing solid relationships with key overseas customers in the electric automotive sector. He also actively participated in and chaired several technical groups within ETRTO, ISO, FCC, Bluetooth SIG, VDA, and ACEA, shaping standards and regulations for the functional and radio aspects of the technology.In 2015, Guillermo joined ETSI and contributed significantly to the Specialist Task Forces Process and the update of the UWB-related Harmonized Standards. He is also a member of the TGUWB group, focusing on 5G New Radio and 5G Core technologies.Guillermo is passionate about driving innovation and collaboration in the radio, wireless and cybersecurity domains, leveraging his technical expertise, linguistic abilities, and customer-oriented approach.
