ABOUT AVARISSE CRAWFORD

With a background rooted in nonprofit leadership and a commitment to strengthening BIPOC communities, I bring a multifaceted approach to driving impactful change. Currently, as Chief of Staff at North10 Philadelphia, I collaborate with an incredible team to address economic inequality and empower North Philadelphia residents through education, community resources, and local investment. I’m proud to contribute to an organization that aligns deeply with my mission to uplift historically underserved communities. As a North Philadelphia native, serving the community where I grew up is both an honor and a full-circle moment that fuels my passion for creating sustainable change. Alongside my role at North10, I’m also the founder and Principal Consultant at Avarisse Monica Consulting, where I provide strategic and operational guidance to nonprofit organizations and executive leaders committed to community transformation. Leveraging my Wharton education, nonprofit management certification, and years of hands-on experience, I support my clients in optimizing their operations, improving decision-making, and achieving measurable impact. Whether we’re streamlining processes or implementing initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, my consulting work allows me to help nonprofits elevate their mission.Throughout my career, I’ve been motivated by a dedication to inclusivity, economic equity, and fostering opportunities for all. As a 2021 Changemaker Award recipient for my work during the pandemic, I strive to be an advocate for diverse talent and a champion of sustainable, community-centered solutions. I’m passionate about creating environments where all voices are valued and where innovative approaches can drive meaningful outcomes.
