ABOUT ASLYNN HALVORSON-WEAVER

As an accomplished leader in the fields of exercise science and kinesiology, I bring a wealth of experience in program development, instructional design, and student engagement. With a strong academic foundation, including a Doctorate of Education in Kinesiology, and expertise in exercise physiology, I have a proven track record of fostering academic growth.My leadership extends beyond the classroom, where I have developed and implemented courses, built program learning outcomes, and managed lab operations to ensure compliance with accreditation standards. I possess extensive experience in designing curriculum for diverse subjects, such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor development, and strength and conditioning, while emphasizing project-based and vocation-focused learning.Additionally, I have successfully led assessment initiatives, including facilitating workshops for faculty professional development and co-developing institutional training programs. My strong organizational skills are demonstrated by my ability to manage departmental operations, budget resources, and purchase lab equipment to enhance the educational experience for students.As a certified USATF Level 2 Coach and NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist, I have also contributed to athletic programs by designing training regimens and coaching athletes. With a commitment to advancing research in concussion recovery and athletic injury prevention, particularly in female and pediatric populations, I am dedicated to enhancing both academic and athletic performance through innovative, evidence-based practices.
