As an Assistant Merchandiser in the Seamless Division at Urmi Group, I am involved in managing the entire merchandising process for seamless knitwear products. From developing initial samples like proto, fit, and pre-production to sourcing trims and fabrics, I ensure each step aligns with buyer requirements and timelines. I regularly prepare cost sheets, assist in price discussions, and follow up with suppliers to maintain smooth coordination across departments. By maintaining the Time and Action (T&A) calendar and ensuring timely submission of lab dips, swatches, and trims for approvals, I help ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery. This role has enhanced my understanding of seamless garment technology, improved my communication with international buyers, and strengthened my overall merchandising and production management skills.
