As a proficient mechanical engineer, I have amassed over twenty years of cross-functional experience in product design and development, fleet management, product services engineering, project management, and application engineering in diverse industries – including heavy-duty gas turbines, construction and mining equipment, and hydraulics.In my current role at GE Vernova, I provide engineering technical support – specifically on gas turbine compressors and casings – to help ensure our large installed fleet of heavy-duty gas turbines that produce over 30% of the world’s electricity are up and running – reliably and efficiently. Or, as I like to colloquially say it – I am saving the world! Following a successful stint as a design engineer, where I developed, and owned GE Vernova’s heavy-duty gas turbine components for over six years, I pivoted to take up a more dynamic role as a product support engineer, where I conduct rigorous root-cause analysis, create state-of-the-art solutions, and solve some of the most complex challenges faced by our gas turbine customers worldwide.Prior to joining GE Vernova, I worked with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) as a design engineer, where I conceptualised, evaluated, designed and performed failure analysis of various mechanical components in construction, mining, off-highway, industrial, and surgical equipment.Earlier in L&T, as an application engineer, I developed hydraulic circuit drawings and created manufacturing drawings for hydraulic power-packs used in the construction and mining industry.When I am not saving the world, I enjoy travelling to the mountains or to the beaches on my motorcycle, doing 100-kilometres rides on my bicycle, logging about my ride experiences, and working on jig-saw puzzles.Expertise: Mechanical Engineering, Gas Turbines, TOPS 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Design & Development, Services Engineering, Customer Issue Resolution, Project Management.My superpower: I get things done!
