ABOUT ASHWIN PHILIP

With over 10 years of proven experience in construction management, project coordination, planning and contract administration in multinational construction companies. I have worked on projects ranging from commercial real estate to heavy infrastructure projects all of which ranging from 1 Million USD to 650 Million USD.Apart from my technical expertise I also offer a dedicated yet innovative approach to work. I do possess excellent interpersonal skills with a strong command over verbal and written communications. I have held positions of leadership and have managed team ranging from 2 to 25 peoples with a particular skillset of bringing out the best in everybody. I am an organized versatile goal oriented person who strong heartedly believes that no problem is unsolvable. Over the past few year, as a Project Manager with BC Hydro has given me a great deal of insight and understanding on a) the workings of project management including best practices and procedures, b) diverse coordination both on site as well as with other internal teams, c) management and delivery of multiple high risk and high value projects such as the TransMountain Energy Project and BC Electrification Projects.d) contract management of over 138 varying contracts and claims spread over 15 Generations and Distribution projects, e) in-depth understanding of Crown Project financials and risk management policies. Prior to this I have had the opportunity to work on as a Project Manager several residential and commercial construction project all across Alberta and Saskatchewan handling diverse responsibilities ranging from Onsite Coordination, Management, and Estimation. Outside Canada my experience ranged from Project Coordination for Marine and Infrastructure Construction (Caisson Methodology at the DGNP Dry Dock Project (95 Million USD), Contract Administration for High Rise RCC Construction with focus on Premium Luxurious High Rises Apartments and High End Finishes (Worli Mixed Use Project (650 Million USD) and Island City Centre (550 Million USD) and Project Coordination for Industrial Office Buildings and Roads. Furthermore, I do possess excellent working knowledge in MS Office, MS Projects, Primavera P6,@Risk and Monte Carlo Simulation. I have handled multiple Subcontractors, Techno-Commercial Negotiations, On-site Construction and Coordination, Risk Analysis and Correspondence Management simultaneously over several different Projects. I do love to travel and am an avid wildlife photographer.
