As an experienced Professional Engineer and Business Leader with a passion for power systems, Ms. Dabic helps utilities understand how leveraging grid modernization technologies can create happy customers and greener living. Valentina is a recognized North American expert in distribution power systems, with a focus on advanced applications for distribution system analyses and Grid Edge Technologies. Her areas of interest and work include:* Distribution Automation (DA)* Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS)* Volt-VAR Optimization (VVO)* Fault Location, Isolation and Service Restoration (FLISR)* Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)* Distributed Energy Resources Management Systems (DERMS)* Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) planning and asset managementValentina translates broad industry trends into meaningful business benefits for utilities. Valentina has led or participated in many initiatives to bridge the gap between planning asset practices and addressing customer needs.Valentina was invited to present on voltage var optimization as a system energy conservation application in 2015 at Denver and in 2016 Boston PES conferences. She has also coauthored a book on ADMS algorithms (in Serbian) and has written many design and engineering processes manuals, strategies and piolicies for distribution systems and distribution automation. Valentina is a progressive leader who helps others succeed, learn and grow. She welcomes diverse perspectives and values developing and building the next generation of engineers. Valentina is a Professional Engineer and Canadian Risk Manager with over 20 years of experience.
