I have spent a significant time inside India\'s most demanding industrial environments — thermal power plants, refineries, and fertilizer complexes — not as a visitor, but as an NDT and inspection professional who understood, from the ground up, how critical assets fail and why the systems meant to prevent those failures so consistently fall short.What I found was not a technology gap. It was a governance gap. World-class inspection professionals raising critical observations into WhatsApp groups that nobody owned, DPRs compiled from memory at midnight, shutdown teams restarting plants with unresolved defects and no defensible record of what was inspected or closed. The expertise existed. The system to capture and act on it did not.At Orion AI Global, I am building that system. As CMO, I architect the platform that governs India\'s industrial shutdowns from the first observation raised in the field to the last audit-ready report delivered to plant management — structured, evidence-based, timestamped, and traceable at every step. Every observation our platform captures is simultaneously a governance record and a data point — feeding the longitudinal asset condition database that will eventually power predictive maintenance, risk-based inspection scheduling, and zero failure operations across India\'s energy infrastructure.
