ABOUT ASHOK KUMAR
Hi there, thanks for visiting my profile! I am currently working as research scholar in the Geotechnical Engineering department at IIT Hyderabad, where my focus is on cutting-edge research in the geotechnical aspects of pavement construction. With experience in Non-Destructive Testing, Steel Structural Design, Foundation Design, and my proficiency spans Design Algorithms and Analysis with a strong background in material geotechnics, where I have worked on material utilization, mine tailing characterization, landslide risk assessment, and GIS-based mapping. I am proficient in advanced engineering software such as STAAD.Pro, Plaxis, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Geostudio, among others. My programming skills include MATLAB and Wolfram (in process), and I have experience working with key IS codes (456, 875, 1893, 800, 801) as well as the IS 2720 series. Presently, my research interests are centered around: 1. Asphalt concrete cracking, fatigue behavior, and overlay design. Service life estimation of old/new pavements analysising of cracking of AC with help of DIC Technique. Pavement dynamics and viscoelastic material modeling.
