Within this role I am accountable for the planning/design of Virgin Media O2’s MLE and some SME orders for our business customers, ranging from Wholesale and direct work streams, I work closely with my stakeholders to ensure the orders planned by my team are accurate and provide certainty for our customers. One of our priorities is to ensure we maintain a healthy network when designing circuits using it, ensuring capacity and efficiency is always maintained. I also work very closely with our build teams to ensure we have strong relationships between our two teams to achieve the same end goal.

ABOUT ASHLEY SUMMERELL
After starting my career as an Access Planning Apprentice in 2010, I have always had a keen drive to excel with my personal development. Successfully graduating in June 2012 to an Access Planner I worked hard to develop myself as well as my skill set, since December 2016 I have been leading the planning team for the south west and wales area and more recently gaining the construction teams to have full Operational control of the end to end journey that I am accountable for. I had always been keen to learn and progress my leadership skills and I have a successful team of 18 employees with a variety of roles, a big believer in focusing on performance as well as results we apply this as a team to get help us achieve our goals. I also like to focus on my team members and have helped them develop in different ways but most recently having 2 of my team progress into more senior roles which will always give me a sense of satisfaction. Feedback is a gift and it’s in our power to give and also act on the feedback we receive, this helps progession in all avenues.
