VIRGIN MEDIA O2 MAY 2023 to present Project Manager - working on the Site Exits Programme – Objective – to decommission and remove surplus hub sites, in order to achieve operational savings and real estate rationalisation. PM Role Scope Study audit information to identify the equipment platform types and quantities to be removed and/or replicated in recipient sites.(Core and access transmission systems – Ciena/Infinera/IP Core/Legacy Switch/Edge Routers/Business Metnet/CIN/Hybrid Fibre-Coax) Identify technical stakeholders that can design solutions for routing traffic away from the exit site to recipient sites. Create virtual team of in house SMEs and 3P partners to manage implementation of the solutions, especially build of new systems and migration of circuits. Work with M&E team to design and provide equipment accommodation in recipient sites, then oversee the build of new equipment and subsequent migrations. Work with multiple third parties to achieve removal of miscellaneous services, inc BT/COLT/EXA/Verizon/Power Companies. Liaise with real estate team and partners to achieve physical decommissioning and dilapidation of exit sites. Then handback to the site owners. Develop and track project time plan and milestones. Provide input to process improvement and governance initiatives.A key objective is to leave an improved network after each site exit
