Manage multi-state client procurement and legislative engagements for state and local government consulting firm.•Procurement: Help select and manage lobbyists across the country at the state and local levels to secure government dollars on behalf of clients. Strategize with lobbyists and clients to determine source of potential funding and map out a success strategy either through existing allocations or via budget process. Work with clients through the RFP process or use existing contract vehicles to expedite the capture of funds. •Legislative/Regulatory: Lead multi-state efforts to kill or amend harmful legislation to client’s operating model or push a proactive beneficial legislative agenda to aid client’s operations in a locale. Work closely with lobbying teams (and when appropriate, industry associations) across multiple states on strategy, tactics and messaging. Oversee regulatory advocacy to municipal and state departments to advocate for rules changes that benefit client’s model. •Business Development: Work with CEO to identify and prospect potential clients for NSI. Set up numerous introductory calls and have helped to sign a half dozen new clients.
