Alongside playing and coaching tennis, I have the opportunity to direct official United States Tennis Association (USTA) tournaments. These tournaments can range from 50 to over 100 players of all ages. In addition to USTA tournaments, I co-direct the tennis portion of the Alabama State Games and Birmingham World and Fire Games. My responsibilities include preparing the courts to ensure they are playable, creating the tournament schedule and draws, inputting and interpreting scores, and resolving any disputes between players and/or families.
