ABOUT ARUN VISWANATHAN

As a Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow at the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology and a Guest Lecturer at Al Salama College of Optometry and Management Studies, I have gained extensive experience in the biotechnology field. With a focus on preclinical projects, I have conducted in-vitro experiments, analysed customer-supplied drugs and derivatives, and offered research-based advice to clients from biotech and non-biotech backgrounds. I am skilled in data analysis using GraphPad Prism and FlowJo software, and I have experience with multicolour flow cytometry to immunophenotype pancreatic and colorectal cancer in mice, as well as designing six colour panels for flow cytometry to immunophenotype murine tumours. Additionally, I am familiar with the Seahorse XFe analyser for a real-time metabolic analysis of cancer cell lines. As a Guest Lecturer, I have delivered lectures to undergraduate students in various courses, including General and Ocular Biochemistry, General and Ocular Microbiology, and Nutrition. I have also developed class notes and presentations for all the courses for the academic year and evaluated students through online learning platforms. My passion for biotechnology extends beyond my work experience. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and contribute to the field in meaningful ways.
