ABOUT ARTURO OSORIO
Arturo E. Osorio, Ph.D. is a business school professor, international speaker, and entrepreneurship consultant. Since 2009, he has been a faculty member at Rutgers Business School in the areas of Management and Entrepreneurship. At Rutgers Newark, he is also a member of Chancellor’s Commission on Diversity and Transformation, a Senior Fellow at the Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies, a Fellow at The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development (CUEED), and advisor to several students organizations. Dr. Osorio’s research describes how entrepreneurship and small businesses practices bring societal transformation. He is particularly concerned about community socioeconomic development in the United States and abroad. He is the author of reports and articles on such topics as urban business clusters, urban food security, and urban renewal.Dr. Osorio is a media commentator appearing on NPR and Latin-American TV. He has been an invited speaker at NJ-Small Business Development Centers, Harvard Kennedy School of Public Policy, and the Universidad de San Andres, in Argentina. He has organized and participated in several international events and conferences in urban entrepreneurship and food security.Dr. Osorio has worked on urban entrepreneurship projects sponsored by the United States government, The Macau Foundation, Peru’s Agriculture & Commerce Ministry, and the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
