ABOUT ARTURO GARCÍA-ZAVALA
I develop methodologies that enable safe and experiential teaching and learning of chemistry with minimal waste generation using low-cost materials. The aim is to establish a response mechanism for situations that impede access to laboratories, as was the case during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they are also aimed at entities lacking specialized equipment so they can conduct experiments in their facilities with their students. On the other hand, I would like to apply my knowledge and skills in organic chemistry to the synthesis of bioactive molecules, specifically in the development of compounds with antidepressant activity.
