Proven communications professional with experience in media relations, community and public relations, news reporting, storytelling, editing, social media, broadcasting, website design and management. Currently the Director of Communications & Events for the Arlington Board of REALTORS, as well as Communications Consultant at Read Fort Worth, a literacy nonprofit partnering with Fort Worth ISD and the City of Fort Worth. Strategic duties include public relations, media outreach, content creation, social media and overall messaging. Previously served as Director of Communications for the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Also co-Media Relations Director for the First Responders Bowl and Armed Forces Bowl, which are both operated by ESPN Events. Directed all media relations and communications duties for the NCAA Division I athletic department at the University of Texas at Arlington from 20••••16. Previously enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a reporter at two major Texas daily newspapers before becoming the first interactive content manager for the Dallas Mavericks and a columnist at NBA.com. Owns extensive expertise in all facets of communications from both a PR standpoint and as a reporter. Proven leader and team builder in sports media and communications for more than 25 years.
