ABOUT ARSALAN HEKMATI
I have had experiences on fabrication, simulation, modeling and test of Electric machinery, high voltage and superconducting power devices such as electric motors of various types, transformer coils, bushings and insulators, SFCLs, MAGLEVs, SMES systems, HTS MRI, HTS transformers and number of publications in this regard. Also, I have been involved in projects management and leadership in electric power industry.The theoretical backgrounds of my research have been mainly analytical electromagnetism and Finite Element Method. I\'m very familiar with coding softwares such as MATLAB/Simulink and implementing FEM solvers in these environments, and also FEM based softwares such as MAXWEL, COMSOL multiphysics, FLUX 3D.My research interests include:• Electric Machinery Design, Modeling, Optimization and Fabrication• Insulation Design of High Voltage Systems and Apparatus• Condition Monitoring, Diagnosis and Life Management of High Voltage Apparatus• Superconducting Power Devices Design, Modeling, Optimization and Fabrication• Power Electronic converters and Electric Vehicles• Renewable energies in power systems and Microgrids
