As a Senior Air Operations Planner we assess the capabilities of Airports on the U.S. Mainland and its Territories for being able to accommodate the large military aircraft that are used in the event of a Presidentially Declared Emergency including Natural Disasters. We assess the capabilities of the airport to accommodate four major types of operations including,(GENPOP) General Population Evacuations/Air Receptions,(LSA) Logistics Staging Areas,(SAR) Air Search and Rescue Operations, and (AS) Aeromedical Staging Areas. These are four major operations that can be required if any state or territory experiences a major disaster or emergency where FEMA is required to deploy its resources.

Working with IEM as a Senior Air Operations Planner among a Team of Emergency Managers, Air Operations Planner, Logisticians and other Airport Managers and specialists who perform Airport Assessments around the U.S. Mainland and its Territories. IEM is contracted by FEMA to perform these assessments to provide information about the status of Airports to accommodate special operations that may be required by FEMA. Our company also provides consultations on Emergency Management and managing EOC Operations.
