ABOUT ARIEL OLAIZ
Ariel Olaiz is currently the VP of Operations for Latin America at C2FO where he is responsible for scaling C2FO’s working capital platform across the region. He has over 15 years of experience advising clients, operating and investing in startups, and launching new ventures.He began his career doing business development at BlackRock where he led a team that catered to Central Banks and Sovereign Wealth Funds in Latin America with over $6BN USD in AUM. In 2015, he joined McKinsey & Co. as a consultant and worked on engagements ranging from strategic planning to cost optimization for large corporates and government enterprises. Most recently, he was the co-Founder of ePesos, a FinTech that provides employees with instant access to their pay and gives users at the Base of the Pyramid access to financial products such as bill payments and savings solutions. During his time at ePesos, Ariel valued new rounds of equity financing (Series A) and structured multiple debt financing facilities which enabled the company to scale in Mexico. Since 2015, Ariel has been intimately involved in the tech ecosystem in Latin America both as an operator and investor. He is currently the Managing Partner at Xochi Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm with over 18 investments spanning several tech sectors.Ariel holds a BBA in Finance from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan where he graduated with distinction, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
