Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Provincial Auditor, and working closely with the Provincial Auditor, I am responsible for developing and implementing the Office’s strategic communications plan, providing communications and media expertise, as well as producing a wide range of internal and external communications materials, including our comprehensive audit report volume for tabling at the Legislative Assembly.The Provincial Auditor is an independent Officer of the Legislative Assembly in Saskatchewan. The Office audits the provincial government\'s management of public money in order to foster accountability and transparency with respect to its performance, systems, and practices. My additional responsibilities include:Media relations, media monitoring, and event management, including organizing press conferences, acting as spokesperson and press coachProviding leadership to a multifaceted, professional team, including strategic planning, marketing and communications, and working collaboratively and cooperatively with othersSetting and accomplishing goals and establishing communications priorities with minimal direction based on hard deadlines dictated by the Legislative AssemblyDesigning and overseeing digital and print publications, including layout (artwork, design, photography) and ensuring accuracyComprehensive editing, namely for tabled ReportsSocial media and website manager, graphic designer and content curator. Responsible for executing social media campaigns to increase our Office\'s public reach, especially regarding each audit publication.Graphic design for internal and external communications pieces, including recruitment video productionResearch—developing and administering surveys, analyzing data, and reporting resultsPreparing and delivering in-house training and instruction covering a breadth of topics from business communications to active listening
