ABOUT APRIL POYNTER

With 20+ years of experience across HR, operations, and sales - including a decade in executive leadership and the boardroom - I reached a point where I felt called to step back and diversify my path. I wanted to use what I’ve learned not just inside organizations, but alongside people navigating growth, change, and big life transitions.Throughout my career, I’ve led teams, helped organizations navigate complexity, and worked with leaders to turn big ideas into clear strategy and execution.What I know for sure is this: real growth happens when people have the right structure, support, and feel safe enough to remove the masks.Today, in my role with TriNet, I pair my real-world leadership experience with practical HR solutions that help businesses simplify the hard stuff - so leaders can focus on building strong teams and healthy organizations.Outside of my corporate work, I’m also an author and the founder of Blushing Phoenix.My first book, Pressing Forward, explores my journey through debilitating anxiety and depression and the path toward reclaiming strength and resilience. My second book, Lean In, documents my experience walking alongside my father as he faced his mortality - a deeply personal reflection on courage, presence, and love.Through Blushing Phoenix, I help people who struggle with chronic blushing and erythrophobia understand that they are not broken - and that it’s possible to overcome the fear that once held them back.At the heart of everything I do - whether in business, writing, or coaching - is the same mission: helping people step into clarity, confidence, and their next chapter.
